Castagniers is a very small hilltop village 20 km away from Nice. Charming, calm (hum, well definitely not in Omer's opinion … to be waken up every day at 7:00 AM by the church steeple, just "over" our heads … drove him quite a bit crazy ! 🙂 ). Our lodging was indeed an ancient rectory, yes ! Simple and clean : fridge, microwave, TV and laundry machine, that's fairly enough for us. Only is was very, very hot at our arrival … even for our wonderful Mama. But after we opened every window, well, then it was bearable.
Now, when it's hot what do you feel like doing ???! Isn't swimming the best way to cool down ?! So we decided to go to Monaco. Sun, sea, sand, yachts, casino and cars … what more you can ask ?!
Which kind of yachts would you like ?! Hum, we like all of them. The cars are not bad neither …
We're on the way to the palace … from there we have a great view over the Monaco bay.
And tonight, what a chance ! it's the final of the international musical fireworks competion in Monaco. We didn't know … what a great surprise ! Look, even in in the news of today they spoke about it !!! And for more information, click here ! This year the "Jacques Couturier Organisation society" (France) won the competition … and that's the one we saw !!!!
