Hard to get up, after a day like yesterday. We're sleeping so well ! Hum, but not for a long time any more … Mama is going to wake us up !!! Small jump to the place where seniors of the kibbutz are doing handmade art-works to sell on craft-markets. You know, that most of the seniors there are over 80 years old and one of them even almost blind ?! The works are beautiful ! Mama bought a handbag for Safta and a pita "cover" for herself. Nira is managing this beautiful place :-). And when she's not around, it's Rifka.
Here we go, this is the Nimrod fortress "located in a magical mountain scenery on the slopes of Mount Hermon, atop a ridge at an altitude of 815 m above sea level." It is "one of the largest and most impressive fortresses which have survived in the Mid-East since the Middle Ages."
"Nimrod Fortress is also known by its Arabic names: Qal' at Subayba (the Cliff Fortress) and Qal' at Nimrud (Nimrod Fortress). The later name is connected, according to the legend, with the mighty hunter Nimrod, King of Shinar and great-grandson of Noah. In this place he was punished by Allah, whoput a mosquito inside his head which drove him mad. …"
It's so quiet here and the nature around here is just so beautiful. Mama just couldn't decide which stone to picture ! She just loves all of them. It makes such a nice contrast with the clear blue sky.
The youth of today has to sit a lot, Mama thinks. What do you want, it's the computer, multimedia, broadband technologies generation !
Look, again, nobody around ! Thank goodness, that people don't have the same taste, imagine this full of people, that wouldn't just fit into the picture, no ?!
Olivetrees, orangetrees, wild flowers … stairways out of stones, hundred of years old … look, all these block of stones, they are huge : almost 1 m over roughly 0,80 cm ! How they carried them ? And how they built the whole wall ??? How many men you need to hold a stone like that ?
Well, that's it. We're driving back home. Just a quick photo of the three wonderful sisters and the smiling wonderful Saba. :-))
Bonne nuit, have a good night, my wonderful family!
